After attending a SAS reunion some time ago, and after talking to some guys from the '50s and '60s at it, I found out that some of our student slang, that I shall call SAS., or "Student Acquired Slang," was still pretty much the same as it was in the '50s and '60s. Many of the terms continued through the '70s and '80s. One, for sure, was "jakes", for bathrooms! I didn't last very long at St. Anthony's, but i found all the new terms to be very interesting! I discovered this attached 'story' in "Special Documents" and thoght you all might get a smile from it. I can just picture that poor freshman waiting for a stall in the jakes...
